Joe "Bo" Jewell, Jr., 70 of Bruno, formerly of Verner went to his heavenly home on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from St. Mary's Hospital. Born June 13, 1947 at Man, he was the son of the late Joe Jewell Sr. and Nina Lea Likens Jewell and step-son of the late Beulah Tackett Jewell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life, Sue Davis Jewell; daughter: Angela Jewell Adkins Arnold; father and mother-in -law: Ora and Lois Davis; sisters: Janice Collins, Sue Tackett and Pearl Chapman; brother: John Jewell. Joe was a member of the Verner Community Church. Down through the years he and Sue were fervent workers in the church and community, always offering a helping hand to anyone that needed it. Joe was a loving and caring husband, father, popaw, and friend. He is survived by his daughter: Beth Jewell and her children: Jaime-Lynn Reedy and Owen Reedy with whom he made his home; daughter: Jennifer (Aaron) Plumley of Gilbert; grandchildren: Kortney Jewell, Amber Lawrence, Michael Adkins, Dalton Plumley and Gabe Plumley; great grandchildren: Kenslee Jewell, Zackery Adkins, Bryson Lawrence and Angela Adkins; brother: David Tackett of Port Orange, Fl.; sisters: Dolly Jo Ratliff of Kistler and Amanda Oliver of Missouri; sister-in-law: Faye Davis of Verner and a host of other dear family and friends. Friends may gather with the family on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the Verner Community Church at 12:00 pm for a memorial service to honor the life of Joe. In honoring his wishes the body has been cremated. He is gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
