Linda Faye (Bailey) Dotson

Linda Faye (Bailey) Dotson, 71, of Bull Creek, departed this life Friday, March 8, 2019 from her residence.

Born on April 17, 1947 at Bull Creek, she was the daughter of the late Craig and Judy (Cline) Bailey.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her infant sister: Freda Gaye Bailey; brother: William C. Bailey; son-in-law: Miles Roberts, Jr.; sisters-in-law: Tammy Bailey, Dora Hatfield, Patsy Lester and Cricket Dotson; brother-in-law: Herdie Dotson.

Linda was a homemaker and a member of the Mohawk Freewill Baptist Church.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her loving husband of 53 years: Marvin Dotson; her daughters: Debra Roberts and Kimberly (Keith) Salyers, all of Bull Creek and Shana McBride of Pinnacle, N.C.; her granddaughter: Ranee (Nathan) Lester of Bull Creek; grandsons: Justin Salyers, Jared Salyers (Fiancé Kelly Bailey), Michael (Sonya) Lester, all of Bluefield and Kadin McBride of Pinnacle, N.C.; great grandchildren: Kinleigh Salyers, Lyndalynn Hodges, Lillana Lester, Aiden Salyers and Cheyenne Lester; sisters: Wanda (Ronald) Conner of Ikes Fork, Cathy (John) Zimmer of White Plaines, N.C., Denita (Shannon) Bailey of Bull Creek; brothers: George (Sandra) Bailey of Bull Creek and Kermit Bailey of White Plains, N.C., sister-in-law: Nellie Bailey of Bull Creek; brothers-in-law: Luther (Hazel) Dotson of Bull Creek, Russell Dotson of Pikeville, Ky., and Glen Dotson of Rich Creek, Va.  Linda also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and her wonderful friends and neighbors.

Friends may gather with the family Monday, March 11, 2019 from 6 to 9 pm at the Panther Missionary Baptist Church, where funeral services will commence on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Willie Coleman, Rev. Ervin Dotson and Rev. Hassel Riffe officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery at Bull Creek.

Linda will be carried to her final resting place by pallbearers: Keith Salyers, Justin Salyers, Jared Salyers and Kadin McBride.  Honorary pallbearer is Michael Lester.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
