Maggie (Maynor) Kenneda

Maggie (Maynor) Kenneda, 97, of Bluefield, VA formerly of Simon, WV went home to be with our Lord Friday, June 28, 2019 at Westwood Center, Bluefield, VA. 

She made her home there for the past four years.   Born on Jan. 8th, 1922 in Coal Mountain, WV she was the daughter of the late Bertie and Nora (Graham) Maynor.  She was married to the love of her life, the late Alex Kenneda on July 16, 1938. 

She has gone home to have a family reunion in Heaven.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Alex and her sons Melvin and Mervin as well as a daughter Evelyn; 2 daughters-in-law: Loraine and Ruth Kenneda; her 5 sisters: Grace, Ethel, Mary Ellen, Velva and Dessie;  her 2 brothers: Askur Maynor and Ulysses Maynor.                    

Those left to cherish her memory are her Daughter: Mildred (Ralph Steele) Kenneda of Rocky Gap, VA; sons: Calvin (Carol) Kenneda of Batavia, OH, Alvin (Pauline) Kennedy of Rocky Gap, VA and Ravin (Diana) Kenneda of Coal Mountain, WV; brothers: Buren (Linda) Maynor of Spice Creek, WV and William Maynor of Chicago, IL; fourteen Grand Children:  Kenny Kenneda, Lynn Westendorf, Crystal (Kenneda) Green, and Steven Kenneda of Batavia, OH. Maggie (Kenneda) Knauer of Batavia, OH. Garrett Kenneda and Eddie Smith of Williamsburg, OH, Pamela Tucker of Bluefield, WV, Alvin Jay Kennedy Jr. of Bluefield, WV, Jennifer (Rosie) Brown of Fincastle VA., Darren Kenneda and Karen Kenneda of Oceana, WV, Jerry Lee Browning of Brenton, WV and Jerome Browning of Simon, WV.  A Special Great Grand Daughter Alexis Browning of Coal Mountain, WV and 25 Great Grand Children and 7 Great Great Grand Children.  She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

A special thanks to all of the Nurses, Doctors and CNA’s at Westwood Center. The Family would like to specially thank Lisa Dale Sizemore, Nurse at Westwood Center. You all are God sends.                    

Friends may gather with the Family Monday, July 1, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Chapel of Mounts Funeral Home, Gilbert, W.Va.  Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert W.Va. with Rev. Gary Browning and Rev. Randall Staton officiating. 

She will be laid to rest beside her husband and son, at Kenneda Cemetery of Foundation Fork of Long Branch, W.Va. Pallbearers will be Grandsons, Kenny, Steven, Jerry Lee, Jerome, Darren, Garrett and Eddie. Alternate Jay Kennedy.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
