Mary Rose Christian, 78 of Gilbert, departed this life on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from Dignity Hospice House at Chapmanville, WV.
Born September 17, 1939 at Gilbert, she was the daughter of the late Tab & Francis (Smith) Blankenship.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Verlin Christian; son: Sandy Christian; daughter: Tammy Slone; and brother: Tick Blankenship.
Mary was a very strong devout Christian, she enjoyed cooking for her family, reding and writing.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Mary and to mourn her passing include her loving children: Ferlin (Katrina) Christian of Red Jacket, Mickey (Susie) Christian of Gilbert, Rickey Christian of Gilbert, Susie Christian of Elk Creek; and Christopher (Michelle) Christian of Ballard; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two sisters: Alice Morgan of Hanover; Clair Walker of Columbus, OH; many nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.
To honor Mary’s final wishes she was cremated.
Her tender heart and beautiful smile will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
