Mary Inez (Johnson) Hamilton

Mary Inez (Johnson) Hamilton 85 of Welch, passed in peace on October 24th, 2019 with her loving family by her side.

Born February 15th, 1934 at Verner, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace Johnson.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother:Roger Lee Johnson; sister: Marie Johnson; and a special son-in law: John Keith Browning.

Mary was a nurse for 30 years and was praised for her kind heart and caring nature.   She was an avid blues listener, and a fan of Hank Jr.  She loved to be in the kitchen cooking and baking for those she loved but enjoyed spending time with her family and friends above all else.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her daughter and best friend: Sandra Browning; and son: Ishmael Browning; her precious grandchildren: Robert (Teresa) Walls, Johnna (Travis) Icenhour, Amanda (Luke) Dean, Christie (John) Wilcox, Clark Jr Browning; siblings; Robert (Mary) Johnson, Delores McCoy.  She also leaves behind a host of special great grandchildren and other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 11 am to 12 pm at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert, WV.  Funeral services will commence at 12 pm at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday, October 29, 2019 with Rev. Bill Cresong officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.

Mary will be carried to her final resting place by her family and friend.

She is gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. “A life that touches others goes on forever.”
