Michael Colangelo

Michael Colangelo, 51, of Wharncliffe, departed this life on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, from his residence.

Born February 9, 1967, at Man, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Sarah (Lewis) Colangelo. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers: Dennis Doss and Hugh “Frog” Colangelo, and one sister, Barbara Bolden.

Michael was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and mechanic work. He also loved spending time with his children and family. Michael was of the Church of God Faith. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to love and cherish his memory and mourn his passing are his wife, Vickie Colangelo of Wharncliffe; two sons: Michael J. Colangelo of Paradise, TX., and Travis Colangelo of Wharncliffe; one daughter, Sarah Colangelo of Gilbert; four sisters: Sharon Doss of Ludlow, KY., Kathy Wolford and Brenda Cline both of Wharncliffe, and Aennone Gibson of Mt. Airy, NC.; two special children whom he considered sons: Jarrett Cline of Justice and Johnathon “Bub” Dotson of Wharncliffe. Michael also leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Friday, December 7, 2018, at the Wharncliffe Church of God from 6-9 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at the church with Pastor Rick Endicott and Rev. Gary Starr officiating.

Burial will follow in the Colangelo Family Cemetery at Wharncliffe. Michael will be carried to his final resting place by: Michael J. Colangelo, Travis Colangelo, Humpy Ellis, Buck Cline, Brian Colangelo, Nathan Hatfield, and Jarrett Cline.

He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
