Moss Hatfield Jr.

Moss Hatfield Jr., 79 of Gilbert, departed this life on Monday, November 19, 2018 from Pikeville Medical Center.

Born August 12, 1939 at Hampden, WV he was the son of the late Moss Sr. & Bessie (Browning) Hatfield.

In addition to his parents Moss was preceded in death by his loving wife Lynda Sue (Glandon) Hatfield; three brothers: Charles, Sherman and Ray Hatfield; four sisters: Norma Justice, Shirley Detzel, Juanita Christian and Emelene Mason.

Moss was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was of the Baptist faith and served his country in US Marines.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Moss and to mourn his passing include his son: Darren Hatfield of Washington, PA; daughter: Karen Hatfield of Gilbert; two grandsons: Travis Hatfield and Dalton Hatfield; three sisters: Barbara Carter, Nina Teeney, Maxine Dillon; two brothers: Jack Hatfield and Elbert Hatfield; many nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.

To honor his wishes he will be cremated.

His loving smile and tender heart will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
