Naomi Eileen (Hatfield) Cook

Naomi “Eileen” Cook, 78 of Gilbert, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 from a lingering illness.

She was born January 10, 1940 at Glen Alum to the late Charlie and Naomi Hatfield.

In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband: Fred Cook; son: Steve Blaine Buchanan; granddaughter: Scarlett Shae Buchanan; grandson: Joshua Shayne Buchanan; great grandson: Gabriel Heath Lester; brothers: Clyde, Tommy and Danny Hatfield; sisters: Hattie Gannon, Nora Browning, Helen Engelman and Marie Hoover.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her children: Marty (Lisa) Buchanan, Timmy (Loretta) Buchanan and Kimberly Lester; grandchildren: Heath Lester, Angel Lester, Sabrina Buchanan, Justin (Kayla) Buchanan, Amanda (David) Dinklocker, Bridgett West, Samantha Buchanan, Stacie (Steve) Blackburn and Daniel Buchanan; sisters: Pauline Cocklin, Betty (Rex) Stephens, Emma Jean (Jimmy) Jones, Bonnie Adams and Charlotte Comer.  She also leaves behind a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Monday, February 19, 2018 from 12 to 2 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Clayton Cline officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hollywood Cemetery at Gilbert, WV.

Eileen will be carried to her final resting place by pallbearers: Heath Lester, Justin Buchanan, Daniel Buchanan, David Dinklocker, T.R. New and Weston Christian.
