Norman Lawrence Obituary

Norman Lawrence, 84 of Simon, WV departed this life on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born February 23, 1935 at Simon, he was the son of the late Bernie & Maggie (Hatfield) Lawrence.

In addition to his parents Norman was preceded in death by a daughter: Carrie Sue Lawrence; son: Dewayne Lawrence; grandson: Jeffery Lawrence; great granddaughter: Zacari Miller; sister: Judy Stacy; brother: Herman Lawrence; half-sister: Inas Woody; brother-in-law: John L. Browning.

Norman was a retired coal miner.  He loved to fish and enjoyed many fishing trips with his late brother in law John L Browning.  He also loved to hunt and especially loved to spend time with his precious family.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Norman and to mourn his passing include his loving wife: Linnie Kenneda Lawrence of Simon; his children: Melissa (Jerry) Conn and Robert (Christal) Lawrence both of Simon; six grandchildren whom adored him: Jerry “JD” Lawrence, Nikki Conn, Isiah Blankenship and Haley Lawrence all of Simon, Heather Miller of North Carolina and Joey Lawrence of Cub Creek; two great grandchildren: Jakobie Lawrence and Summer Lawrence; two sisters: Georgia Browning of Gilbert and Nancy Molinaro of Pennsylvania; brother: Lige Lawrence of South Carolina; nephews: Kermit Browning and Larry “Bear” Browning; special caregiver: Tammy Cook; many nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.

To honor his last wishes Norman will be cremated.

His tended heart and beautiful smile will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
