Opal Louise Hill, 83 of Delbarton, went on to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from Pikeville Medical Center.
Born April 9, 1935 at Wharncliffe, WV she was the daughter of the late Johnny & Hazel (Mounts) Maynard.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son: Steve Cline; three sisters: Annie Wolford, Juanita Cline and Mary Bell Onley; brothers: Henry Ellis and Frank Ellis.
Opal was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and working crossword puzzles. Her most enjoyable hobby was taking care of her grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart. Opal was a member of the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Opal and to mourn her passing include her husband: Charles “Bunk” Hill of Delbarton; eight children: Jimmy (Becky) Cline of Wharncliffe, Dean (Carlene) Cline of Hinton, Sharron (Jimmy) Hill of Wharncliffe, Johnny (Debbie) Cline of Ohio, Keith (Patsy Dingess) Hill of Wharncliffe, Jeff (Marcella) Hill of Delbarton, Lisa (Jeff) Gibson of Delbarton and Missy (Dan) Noel of Hinton; grandchildren: Tina Cline, J.R. Cline, Michelle Wiley, Amanda Calloway, Becky Sue Dillon, Steven Cline Jr, Michael Cantrell, Cody Cline, Michael Dean Cline, Brian Cline, Michelle Cline, Chris Walls, Travis Hill, Monique Cline, Jamie, Ryan, Tara, Erica Browning, Debrina Cline, Dustin Hill, Sarah Hill, Hannah Gibson, Emily Gibson, Hayleigh Cooper, Kayla Salmons, Danny Noel Jr., Justin Noel; a host of great grandchildren; brothers-in-law: Clifford Cline and Jack Hill; sister-in-law: Diane (Boyce) Dotson. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 6-9 pm at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer at Hampden. Funeral services will commence at 12:30 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the church with the Rev. Carl “Cab” Wolford and Rev. Denny May officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Opal will be carried to her final resting place by her grandchildren.
Her beautiful smile and tender heart will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
