Ruby (Browning) Browning

Ruby Browning, 91 of Tamcliffe, departed this life Thursday, January 2, 2020 from her residence.

Born August 19, 1928 at Leatherwood, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Bessie Mae (Carter) Browning.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband: Rev. Donnie W. Browning; daughter-in-law: Linda Faye Browning; granddaughter: Michelle Browning; brothers: Rev. Ola Browning, Rev. Elden Browning and Hansel Browning; sister: Lola Layne; 1 great-grandchild.

Ruby was a member of the Tamcliffe Tabernacle Church.  She loved to cook, crochet and spend time with her family.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her sons: Douglas (Daphene) Browning of Lebanon Junction, KY, Gary (Linda, “Sissy Bug”)Browning of Rockhouse, WV, David (Lisa) Browning of Gallipolis, Ohio, Michael (Lisa) Browning of Gilbert, WV; daughter: Francis (Jimmy) Bailey of Rockhouse, WV; special friend: Lonnie Huff of Hazard, KY; sisters: Rena Layne of Hamlin, WV and Marie Walls of Verner, WV; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.  She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel from 6 to 9 pm.  Funeral services will commence there in the chapel Monday, January 6, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Allen Blankenship, Rev. Alvin Browning and Rev. Mike Ashbury officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hollywood Cemetery in Gilbert, WV.

Ruby will be carried to her final resting place by her family and friends.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
