Teddy Lester

Teddy Lester, 69 of Hanover, departed this life on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV.

Born March 22, 1949 at Justice, WV, he was the son of the late Harold and Lillian (Browning) Lester.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sheila Chambers Lester.

Teddy was a retired coal miner, and a member of the UMWA, he also served his country in the United States Air Force.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Teddy and to mourn his passing include his four children: Jamie Lester, Teddy Lester Jr., Stephanie Browning and Scottie Lester; four grandchildren: Taylor Lester, Alexa Lester, Ashley Lester and Kacey Lester; one great grandson: Dalton Browning; brother: Edward (Wilma) Lester of Gilbert; two sisters: Teresa (Tim) Hannah of Charlton Heights, Beverley McDonald of Cleveland, OH; many nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at the Gilbert Church of God.  Funeral services will commence at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Sammy Lester and Rev. Ronnie Lester officiating.

Burial will follow at Lester Cemetery at Joe Point, Hanover, WV.

Teddy will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.

He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
