Zelphia (Lester) Sims

Zelphia Lester Sims, 63 of  Lorado, formerly of Baisden, departed this life Friday, April 13, 2018 from her daughter’s residence, with whom she made her home.

Born on March 11, 1955 at Baisden, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Bertha (Trent) Lester.

In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her brother: Tim Lester; and her granddaughter: Jayden Sims.

Zelphia attended the Full Gospel Church of God Church at Baisden.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.  She was a retired CNA.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her children: Alisha (Jason) Hatfield of Lorado; Michael (Valerie) Sims of Bruno and Jamey (Amanda) Lester of Baisden; her grandchildren: Jenna and Dayton Hatfield, Madison and Allie Burns, Kenslee Jewell, Holli Gilman, Hailey Lester, Whitni Salmons, Rylee Lester and Brody Davis; her brothers and sisters: Edith Lester, Geneva Hatfield, Conrad (Crystal) Lester, Keith (Tammy) Lester, Janet (Jennings) Galyean and Douglas (Donna) Lester.  She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Monday, April 16, 2018 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Full Gospel Church of God where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Jonas Trent officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lester Family Cemetery at Baisden, WV.

Zelphia will be carried to her final resting place by her family and friends.

Her gentle heart and wonderful smile will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and love her.
