Adele (Woolum) Hatfield

Adele (Woolum) Hatfield, 83 of Coal Mountain, departed this life on Monday, February 28, 2022 from her residence.

Born on June 1, 1938 in Field, KY she was the daughter of the late George and Victoria (Warren) Woolum.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her loving husband of of 54 years Jackie Lee “Jack” Hatfield; her daughters: Deborah Lynn and Kathy Denise Hatfield and Linda (Hatfield) Lee; brothers: Earl Dean, Russell Olene “Zeke” Woolum.

Adele was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.  She was of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her sisters: Irene Cook of Coal Mtn, who helped take care of her, Dorsal Duty of New Carlisle, Ohio, Sylvia (John) Smith of Louisiana, Mildred Taylor of Hanover; brother: Johnny Woolum of Hanover; special friend: Glenna Hatfield; special nephew, who looked out for her: Stanley (Sherry) Woolum; She also leaves behind a host of other nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Thursday, from 12:00 till 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with Rev. Glenn Hatfield and Rev. James Ellis officiating.  Burial will follow in the Coal Mountain Community Cemetery at Coal Mtn, WV.

Adele will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
