Aletta Gay (Mounts) Hatfield, 55, of Wharncliffe, WV gained her heavenly wings Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center, South Williamson, KY.
She was born January 31st, 1965 in Man, WV to the late Betty and Herbert James Mounts.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Pearl J. Hatfield; and sister-in-law Cora Helen Compton.
Aletta was a member of the Verner Community Church and Vacation Bible School teacher. She loved crafting, fishing, riding four-wheelers and side-by-sides through the mountains, but more than anything, she loved being with her family.
Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her loving husband of 38 years, Troy Kenny Hatfield Jr.; her daughter, Lydia Hatfield (Matthew) Ford of Georgetown, KY; her son, Troy Kyle (Lakesha Prater) Hatfield of Wharncliffe; her brothers: Bradley (Lori) Mounts and Carlos (Georgetta) Mounts both of Baisden; sister-in-laws: Sue (Learmon) Mounts of Baisden, Glenda (Rutherford) Cline of Baisden, Dottie (Ralph) New of Hinton, WV, and Bonnie (Wade) Hatfield of Smith Mountain, VA; brother-in-law Russel (Charlene) Hatfield of Wharncliffe; many very special nieces and nephews; her best friend Melissa Justice of Matewan; and her fur baby Roxie.
Friends may gather with the family Friday August 28, 2020 from 6pm to 9pm at the Verner Community Church for visitation. Funeral Service will commence the following day, Saturday August 29, 2020 at 2pm at the Verner Community Church with the Rev. Walter Grimmett officiating, with burial to follow at the Verner Community Church Cemetery.
Aletta will be carried to her resting place by: Eddie Mounts, Ricky Mounts, Donavon New, Johnathan Compton, David Breeding, Shane Justice, Gavin Mounts, and Evan Breeding.
