Alfred Brian Grimmett, 48 of Poca, WV, departed this life on November 19, 2022.
Born on January 22, 1974, he was the son of the late Walter R. Grimmett Sr. and Lucille Kirk.
In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert and Goldie Goodman, Alfred and Nida Grimmett; step-mother: Bertha Grimmett; step-brother: Christopher Layne; uncle: Robert Onnie Goodman Jr.; Aunts: Dottie Goodman, Linda Huff, Deloris Lawrence, Virgie Bailey, Katherine Allen, Carol Goodman, Risby Phillips, Bessie Parker, Betty Earnest, Virginia Blankenship, and Vicie Boone; nephews: Joe James Lawrence, Joey Mullins, Mark Hendericks, and Roger Dale Blankenship; and nieces: Candice Grimmett and Darlena Lawrence.
Brian loved the Lord and going to church. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys football fan and loved watching UK Basketball.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother: Lucille Kirk; brothers: Christopher Ford, Walter and Hunter Grimmett, and Abel and Axel Lamb; niece: Tiffany Toler; nephew: Jeremy Queen; aunts: Phyllis (Kenny) Johnston and Belinda (Ray) Repshire, Bonnie Baldridge, Ruth (Tom) Myers, and Sheena (Sid) Sydor, Kay (Lloyd) Mullins, and Janice Hendricks; uncles: Tom Goodman, Jimmy Dale Goodman, Michael (Teresa) McNeely, and Ronnie (Gladys) Goodman; and a host of cousins.
Friends may gather with the family on Saturday November 26, 2022 at Mounts Funeral Home from 6:00-9:00pm. Funeral services will commence at the funeral home on Sunday November 27, 2022 at 2:00pm with Gary Browning officiating. Burial will follow in the Hollywood Cemetery at Gilbert, WV.
Brian will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.
His wonderful smile and caring heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
