Alma "Toots" (New) Cline

Alma “Toots” Cline, 91 of Baisden, went home to be with her Lord and her many loved ones waiting for her in Heaven on Friday, August 20, 2021 from her residence.

Born of February 24, 1930 at Baisden, she was the daughter of the late Troy and Vannie (Blankenship) New.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her loving husband: Toney Cline; brothers: Raymond, Joda Pat, Buddy, Douglas, and Amos New; sisters: Gladys Mounts and Alice Lester.

Alma was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend.  She loved working with her flowers in her flower garden.  She attended the Full Gospel Church of God at Baisden, she was a very godly woman, who was always there whenever anyone needed prayer.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Alma was the last survivor of her generation.  Those left to love and cherish her memory are her many nieces, nephews, caregivers and many other acquaintances and friends that she had made throughout her life.

Friends may gather with the family on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 12:00 till 2:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jonas “Joe Peck” Trent and Rev. Diamond Carter officiating.  Burial will follow in the Jimmy Cline Cemetery at Baisden.

Alma will be carried to her final resting place by her family and friends.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
