Angela Sue Thomas, 61 of Matewan, WV departed this life Friday, May 30, 2025, from Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV.
Born January 10, 1964, in Welch, WV she was the daughter of the late Leonard “Buddy” and Virginia (Neil) May.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother: Roger D. Blankenship.
Angela enjoyed traveling, seeing new places, cooking, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to love and cherish her memory are her husband of 13 years: Robert Thomas, (they had been sweethearts since kindergarten); daughter: Crystal Wolford; son: Jonathan (Ashley) Prater; stepdaughters: Adrian (Derek) Green, Myra Dotson; stepson: Robert Darrell Thomas, companion Penny Layne, Jordan Ryan Thomas; grandchildren: Ryan and Raelyn Prater, Jaylee and Jaydon Wolford; step grandchildren: Isabelle and Jacob Dawson, Lillianna and Shawn Green, Matthew and Heidi Thomas; step grandbabies: Brandon Johnson and Lyla Dotson; siblings: James (Cheryl) May, Norma Ogle, Cindy (Andy) Lucas, and Cassie Blankenship. She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 12:00 till 2:00pm in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Browning. Burial will follow in the Walls Cemetery at Garden Gap, Hanover, WV.
Angela will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.
She will forever remain in our hearts.
