On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, Annetta Lynn Buskirk was chosen to lay down the sword. She had slain all her dragons. Lynn took the Angel’s hand in hopes that her journey and years of surviving would lead to that beautiful city and walk with Jesus.
Her journey ended at her home surrounded by her most beloved Peggy Sue, her rescue feline that rescued her, and her family and friends.
Born November 20, 1967, in Welch, WV, she was the daughter of Veta (Christian) Merritt and the late Stokey Morgan.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents; Hubb and Opal Morgan, and Woodrow and Alpha Christian; aunt: Retha Bevacqua; uncles: Greg Christian, Roger Morgan and JB Morgan.
Lynn was a hard worker and good friend to many. She was in the US Army, she obtained her Phlebotomy license and worked many years as a CNA, also worked as a bartender as well as other jobs. She really enjoyed her years living in Daytona Beach and managing a hotel there. She met many good friends along the way.
She is survived by her mother: Veta Merritt, of Huntington; brothers: Robert Morgan of Hanover, and Anthony Morgan of Moorehead, KY; two nephews: Blake Morgan of Gauley Bridge, Alex Morgan, Moorehead, KY; nieces: Blakelynn and Serenity Morgan, of Moorehead, KY; great nephew: Draco Wade Morgan; her Godson: Kameron Dakota Gene Kimball, his mother Myka, and Oliver Kimball of Beckley, WV; Goddaughter: Riley Sue Gibson of Colloden, WV; two friends close as sisters to her; Michelle Snuffer of Ikes Fork, WV and Robin Sears of Shady Spring, WV; cousins: Angie Morgan, Ashley Morgan, Heather McBride and daughter Allie, Susan Blankenship, Debbie Williams, Kenny McKee, Shane and daughter, Shanna Christian, and Dusty Christian; aunts: Jerri McKee and Sharon Christian.
