Bennie Morgan

Bennie Morgan, 73 of Justice, departed this life Sunday, October 9, 2022 from Princeton Community Hospital.

Born on July 11, 1949 at North Springs, WV he was the son of the late Hazel (Cooke) and Gilford Morgan.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister: Eileen (Morgan) Godfrey; brother: McClellan Morgan; brother-in-law: Jimmy Godfrey.

Bennie was an outgoing person who simply loved life. He loved riding his 4-wheeler and being out in nature. He loved driving to the beach in his convertible with the top down with his loving wife, Yvonne, by his side. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and being a member of the Road Angels Car Club, but most of all, he loved God, and he loved his church family dearly. Bennie was a retired Coal Miner who took pride in his work and enjoyed running his dozer during his mining days.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years: Yvonne (Walker) Morgan of Justice; daughter: Monica (Morgan) and Lyndon Cook of Weaverville, N.C; grandchildren: Morgan, Kylie, and Tristan Cook, all of Weaverville, N.C; sister: JoAnn (Fred) Mason of Lynchburg, VA; brothers: Bobby (Marsha) Morgan of Maryville, TN., Gary (Mitzi) Morgan of Princeton, WV; brother-in-law: Randy Walker of Kernersville, N.C.  Bennie also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 2:00 till 3:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 3:00 pm with Pastor Jim Nagy and Rev. Timer May officiating.  Burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery at Justice, WV.

Bennie will be carried to his resting place by pallbearers: Lyndon and Tristan Cook, Jeffrey Dunigan, Wesley Garrett, Denver Stacy, Tyler Brown, Jackie Thompson, and Tommy Fortner.  Honorary pallbearers are: Wayne Addair, Cameron and Donald Hatfield, Doncie Miller, Ronald Morgan, Ralph Trent, Randy Walker.

His wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
