Betty Jean England

Betty Jean England, 91 of Beckley, WV departed this life Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from Bower’s Hospice House, Beckley, WV.

Born November 29, 1933, in Isaban, WV she was the daughter of the late William and Eunice (Lester) England.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Jimmie and William Howard "Woody" England, Jr; sisters-in-law: Greta, Ann, and Bobbie England; niece: Cheryl England; nephews: Jeff and Ethan England.

Betty enjoyed crafting, traveling, and cooking for family get togethers and special occasions.  She was of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her brother: Charles England; nephews: Michael (Tammy) England, Greg (Wendy) England, Scott England, Chris (Melissa) England; nieces: Jessica (Kenny) Hatfield, Traci (Greg) Mascaro, Christin England, Kasie (Tyler) Couch.  She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Monday, June 30, 2025, from 12:00 till 1:00 pm in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home where a Memorial Service will commence at 1:00 pm with Pastor Ronnie Lester and Pastor Jackie Lester officiating. 

In honoring her wishes, she will be cremated and her remains will be buried in the Lester Cemetery at Joe Point, Hanover, WV at a later time.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
