Betty Lou Cline, 74 of Panther, WV departed this life Sunday, June 22, 2025, from her residence. Born April 20, 1951, at Welch, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lexie V. Bailey.
In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Michael and Edward “Buddy Boy” Bailey; half-brothers: Billy and Dennis Bailey; son-in-law: Timmy Riley; sister-in-law: Janetta Matney; brothers-in-law: Ralph Matney and Danny Mills.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed four-wheel riding and spending time with her family and friends. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Those left to love and cherish her memory are her husband: Richard Cline of the home; her daughters: Selena (Terry) Hunt, and Ginger Riley; grandchildren: Hannah Hunt, Brianna (Steven) Matney, Anthony (Amanda) Cline, Cheyenne Riley (Blake Harrison), Dustin Lester, Marcus and Whitley, who she loved like her own grandsons; half-sister: Lisha (Jimmy) Lockhart; special nieces: Beth, Brandi, and Lacy Hunt; nephew: Alex Justice; sisters-in-law: Lucille Mills and Denise Hunt; cousins: Harold Dean and Robbie Bailey, Allen (Sherri) Hunt; aunts and uncles: Anna May, Hazel, Audrey, Mildred, Peanut James, Ellis, and Denver Hunt; special friends: Carol and Barbara Lockhart, Barbara Bodine. She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Friday, June 27, 2025, after 6:00 pm at the Little Zion Old Regular Baptist Church at Greenbrier Mountain where funeral services will commence on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 12:00 pm with Elder Fred Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Riley Family Cemetery at Depot Hollow Road, Panther, WV.
Betty will be carried to her resting place by Bill Brandom, Adam Lockhart, Harold Lyons, Ross Riley, and Ricky Hunt.
Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
