Betty Jean Robinette, 90 of Chapmanville, WV formerly of Verner, WV departed this life Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from Logan Regional Medical Center. Born December 15, 1934, in Louisa, KY, she was the daughter of the late Richard Maynard and Helen Wellman.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Donald Robinette, Sr; her sons: Donald Robinette, Jr. and Kenneth Randall Robinette; two infant children: Gregory Keith Robinette and Karen Denise Robinette; her grandsons: Craig and Brian Robinette; and a host of siblings.
Betty enjoyed reading, writing, and spending time with her family and friends. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Those left to love and cherish her memories are her children: Danny (Diane) Robinette and their family of Hurricane, WV., Rodney (Patty) Robinette and their family of Pecks Mill, WV., Roger (Tammy) Robinette and their family of Verner, WV., Richard (Rebecca) Robinette and their family of Wharncliffe, WV., Jeffrey Robinette and his family of Verner, WV; grandchildren: the surviving daughter of Kenneth Randall Robinette, Kayla (Greg) Hurley and family of Gilbert, and Shane and Brady Robinette, who she raised as her own sons, also of Gilbert. She leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 12:00 till 2:00pm at the Verner Community Church, where funeral services will commence at 2:00pm with Bishop Anthony Hudgins and Pastor Arville Cline officiating. Burial will follow in the Robinette-Dye Cemetery at Verner, WV.
Betty will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.
Her wonderful smile, gentle heart, and the love and kindness she showed to others will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
