Boydett Marlene (Mullins) Vance, 61of Christian, WV departed this life Tuesday, May 19, 2026, after a long, well fought battle with her health from Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born November 2, 1964, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Mose and Betty (Workman) Wright.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Harry Mullins, Danny Joe Mullins, and Allen Wright; sister: Gladys Egnor.
Marlene enjoyed watching Tik Tok, she especially loved anything to do with cows, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had recently given her life to the Lord.
Those left to love and cherish her memory are her two sons: Keith Hatfield of Verner, WV and Dustin Vance of Newport, TN; grandchildren: Colton and Ariel, both of Newport, TN; brother: Rocky Mullins of Logan, WV; sister: Betty Jo Gibson of Christian, WV; brother-in-law: Stevie Vance; son-in-law: James Thomas; special friends: Wade and Pam Thomas of Verner, WV; and her fur baby: Coco. She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held Friday May 22, 2026 at the Hunt Baptist Tabernacle from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the family. Friends may join the family from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with funeral services to commence at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Cecil Bartram officiating. Burial will follow in the Browning-Dye Cemetery at Verner, WV.
Marlene will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to the 4th Floor CCU nurses for their care and support during this time.
Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
