Bruce Emory "Uncle Buck" Hatfield

Bruce Emory Hatfield “Uncle Buck” age 74 of Mullinsville, departed this life Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Raleigh General Hospital.

Born November 24, 1946 at home, in the Browning Fork section of Gilbert, WV he was the son of the late Sidney and Tilda (Hatfield) Hatfield.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by sisters: Laura Hatfield and Louise Farris; brothers: Frank and John Hatfield

Buck enjoyed tinkering around on his antique truck, fishing at the lake and watching the races at Lizzard Creek.  Most of all he loved getting together with his family and friends that he loved so dearly.  Buck always had a smile on his face, and he loved to cut up, one of his favorite sayings was “I got so much going on”.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his loving wife: Debra Heltman-Hatfield of Mullinsville who always said Bruce was her angel; sons: Emory (Pam) Hatfield of Kopperston, Steve (Anna Marie) Hatfield of Kannapolis, NC; grandchildren: Michael Hatfield and fiancé Sara of Beckley, Ashlynn Hatfield of Mooresville, NC, Melanie, Junior, and Katelyn Hatfield, all of Kannapolis, NC; great grandchildren: Bruce, Chloe, Mackenzie, and Baby Noah; brothers: Jim Hatfield of Gilbert and Emmett Hatfield of Princeton.  He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends that will miss “Uncle Buck”.

Friends may gather with the family Friday, March 26, 2021 from 1:00 till 2:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Diamond Carter officiating.  Burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery at Browning Fork section of Gilbert, WV.

Buck will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
