Buddy Cline

Buddy Cline, 84 of Baisden, WV departed this life Thursday, August 10, 2023 from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born January 15, 1939 he was the son of the late Jesse and Belle (Cline) Cline.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his daughter: Tina Cline; stepdaughter: Kathy New; sons: Michael and Jessie James Cline; sisters: Florence (Sis) Trent, Rozella Carter, Let Lester, and Jean Hatfield; brothers: Tony, Okey, Nathan, Jimmy, Jonas, and Hillard Cline.

Buddy was a retired coal miner and of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his daughter: Jessie Cline; stepdaughter: Brittany (Joshua Little) Justice; companion of 30 years: Lisa Hardy, all of Welch, WV; stepchildren: Carolyn Wolford, Freda Hatfield. Rhonda (Terry) Ward, all of Hampden, WV, and Ronald “Punk” (Michelle) Bailey of Browning Fork, Gilbert, WV.  Buddy also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Monday, August 14, 2023 from 6-9pm at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, Gilbert, WV.  Funeral services will commence there in the chapel on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jonas Trent and Rev. Ralphy Manuel officiating.  Burial will follow in the Jimmy Cline Cemetery at Baisden.

Buddy will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
