Buren Maynor, Jr.

Buren Maynor, Jr, 53 of Christian, departed this life Wednesday, April 15, 2020 from his residence.

Born April 2, 1967 at Man, he was the son of Linda (Walls) and Buren Maynor, Sr.

Buren enjoyed riding motorbikes and being outdoors. He was of the Baptist Faith. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his loss are his wife: Angela Dawn Maynor of Verner; sons: Buren Maynor III of Huntington, Tommy Queen of Logan; step-sons: Jeffery and Corey Bateman, both of Elk Creek; parents: Linda (Walls) and Buren Maynor, Sr. of Verner; Sisters: Alicia (Michael) Bailey of North Springs, Tisha (Toney) Compton of Moneta, VA; nephews: Allen (Johnna) McNeely and Charlie McNeely, all of Verner; niece: Tiffany (Alex) Trent of Moneta, VA; great nephews: Zander Trent of Moneta, VA and Eli McNeely of Verner; special great niece: Gemma Milton of Crown; special grandmother: Bertha Walls of Gilbert.  He also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Sunday, April 19, 2020 from 12 to 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with Rev. David Browning officiating. Due to the current social gathering recommendations from the government, we request the number of individuals be kept to 10 or less in the building at one time.  

Burial will follow in the Skyline Cemetery at Justice, WV.

Buren will be carried to his final resting place by pallbearers: Allen and Charlie McNeely, Richard and Buren Maynor III, Tommy Queen, Clark Perry and Brandon Hatfield.  Honorary pallbearers are Michael Bailey, Tony Compton, Lee Toler, Peyton Ellis, Corey and Jeffrey Bateman.

His wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
