Carol Sue (Griffin) Browning

Carol Sue (Griffin) Browning 75, of Man, WV departed this life June 6, 2021, from St. Mary’s Medical Center Huntington, WV. 

Born on July 27, 1945 at Robinette, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Ethel (Browning) Griffin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Larry Gene Grimmett and Less Browning; brothers: Paul V. Wooten, Berta Cork, Ralph, Boyd, Mack David, Fred, Gary, John Allen and Wally Griffin; sisters: Betty Jane, Lilly and Janice.

Carol was a homemaker and retired LPN. She enjoyed shopping and gardening.  She was a member of the Bruno Church of God.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her sons: Donald (Roxanne) Grimmett of Man, Steven (Angie) Grimmett of Davin, Nick (Melissa) Grimmett of Davin; grandchildren: Tyler Grimmett (Rachel Fox) of Gilbert, Macie and Kendall Grimmett, Ben (Kimberly) Hall of Man, Danielle (Timmy) Ratliff of Welch, Caleb Vance of Davin; great-grandchildren: Skylar, Haley, Tyler and Brooke; one sister; Donna (Jimmy) Bragg of Gilbert; one brother: Bo Andy (Kathy) Griffin of Cyclone.  She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives. 

Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the Bruno Church of God, from 6-9:00 pm.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm. on Thursday June 10, 2021 with Pastor Roger Frye officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery Pecks Mill, WV.

Carol will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
