Cecil Aster Riffe

Cecil Aster Riffe, age 90, of Pinnacle, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in Mount Airy, North Carolina.

Cecil was born on December 13, 1935, at Ikes Fork, WV to the late Aldie and Myrtle Riffe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Rhonda Ann Riffe, his first wife, Ella Riffe; his previous wife, Nellie Lofton Riffe; and his sister, Charlotte Deweese.

He was a devoted Christian and faithful to the Baptist faith. Cecil loved attending church and spending time with his family, whom he cherished deeply, always holding dear the memory of his beloved daughter, Rhonda Ann Riffe.

Cecil worked for many years as a welder and truck driver. He often enjoyed sharing stories from his younger years working in the shipyards, growing up with his brother Denvil, and the wonderful parents who raised them. For the past three years, Cecil made his home with his son and daughter-in-law.

He is survived by his son, Eddie Riffe and wife Geneva; two granddaughters, Laranda Hankins and Hanna Conrad; five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Zander, and Gianna Hankins, Harper Conrad and Hudson Allen; and one brother, Denvil Riffe.

Friends may gather with the family Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 1:00 till 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home where funeral services will commence at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Homer Blankenship, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the Parish Lester Cemetery at Ikes Fork, WV.

Cecil will be remembered for his strong faith, love for his family, and the many stories he shared throughout his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
