Charlie Mack Stiltner, Sr., 68 of Hanover, departed this life Friday, October 1, 2021 at his residence.
Born on March 18, 1953 in Grundy, VA, he was the son of the late George Washington and Easter Lilly (Lester) Stiltner.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers: James Earl, David, Harold Dean, and Eddie Joe Stiltner.
Charlie loved sitting on his front porch, spending time with his family and friends, he especially loved cooking. He was of the Pentecostal Faith and a member of the U.M.W.A. Charlie was a retired Coal Miner.
Those left to love and cherish his memory are his daughter: Rebecca Rich of Marion, NC; his sons: Charlie Mack (Ashlie) Stiltner, Jr of Sabina, Ohio and Charles (April) Stiltner of West Vanier, KY; grandchildren: Kayla and Kaylynn Rich, both of Marion, NC, Caleb Stiltner and Cayden Hagerman, both of Sabina, Ohio, Ashlee, Amber, and Sophia Stiltner, all of West Vanier, KY; great grandchildren: Eriklucious Olvera and Laken Silvers of Marion, NC; sisters: Lois Jean Lester, Mae Ellen Lester, Arthena Smith; brothers: Teddy Lee Stiltner and Ricky Stiltner. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends.
A private service was held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Jessie officiating. Burial followed in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park Cemetery at Big Rock, Virginia.
Charlie was carried to his resting place by Caleb Stiltner, Cayden Hagerman, Jessie Walker and other family and friends.
He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
