Chester Browning, 19th son of 21 children of Beckett and Corba (Hatfield) Browning, passed away on September 9, 2025, in Morgantown, WV.
Chester was born on December 5, 1941, at Cub City near Guyan, WV.
Chester was married to Diana (Henderson) Browning of Mohawk, WV, for 60 years.
They met in Chicago in 1964. Chester and Diana were living in Upshur County at the time of his death.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by Browning sisters: Brida Toler, Hazel Fortner, Maxine Straley, Lema May Browning, Ivy Staton, Mable Rose and Flossie Hicks; brothers: Buel, Harry, French, Hurist, Junior and Clifton Browning.
Those left to love and cherish his memory and mourn his loss are his sister, Fredonia Adams of Amelia, Ohio, special nephew, Ronnie Toler Sr., of Brenton and a host of family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, 11:00 a.m. to noon at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel where funeral services will commence at noon with Rev. Jamie Fortner officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny.
Chester will be carried to his final resting place by his family and friends.
He will forever remain in our hearts.
