Clyde "Steve" Cline

Clyde “Steve” Cline, 62 of Mohawk, departed this life Monday, November 16, 2020 at his home.

Born on June 6, 1958 at Iaeger, he was the son of the late Clyde and Dorothy (Stepp) Cline.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his grandparents: Bob and Margaret Cline and Claude and Margaret Stepp; nephew: Justin Cline; brother-in-law: Ricky Cline.

Steve attended Iaeger High School and started into the family trucking business at a young age.  He was the owner of Jennifer Trucking, and more recently was a contractor for Ace Trucking at Coalmac in Logan, WV.  He enjoyed trucking with his brother, four wheeling, fishing, coon hunting, and he loved the Great Smoky Mountains.  He loved having cookouts and spending time with his family and friends.  Steve gave his heart to the Lord and was baptized.

Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his loss are: his only daughter: Jennifer (Clark) Lester; granddaughters: Jayden and Kaylee Lester, all of Mohawk; brothers: Bobby (Brenda) Cline of Litwar, Harold “Bo” Cline of Mohawk; sisters: Judi Cline (William) Proffit of Princeton, Jeannie “Lynn” Cline of Mohawk, Carol “Sissy” (Lew) Cline Crouch of Kingsport, TN; special friend and caretaker: Teresa (Estil) Justice of Panther; best friend: Jeremy Lester (aka Whitey).  He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Thursday, November 19, 2020 after 6:00 pm at the Mohawk Freewill Baptist Church at Mohawk, with service at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will commence there at the church Friday, November 20, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Willie Coleman officiating.  Burial will follow in the Stepp Family Cemetery at Bull Creek, Mohawk, WV.

Steve will be carried to his resting place by; Mark Cline, Kevin Cline, Les (Bo) Cline, Jon Cline, Shannon Cline, Zack Cline, Richie Justice, Jeremy Lester.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
