Danny "Grim" Ellis

Danny “Grim” Ellis, 63 of Baisden, WV departed this life Friday, January 31, 2025, from his residence.

Born July 13, 1961, at Baisden, WV he was the son of the late Hollie and Janie (May) Ellis.

In addition to his parents, Grim is also preceded in death by his sisters: Audrey Ellis and Tina Blankenship; brothers: Buddy Ellis and Willis Lee “Wick” Ellis. 

Grim was a member of the Lighthouse Church at Baisden, WV.  He had also served on the Baisden Fire Department for years.  He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.  Grim was a beautiful soul who touched the hearts of everyone he met, he always had a way of putting a smile on your face; for to know him was to love him.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his sisters: Tessie Hurley of Gilbert, WV and Mag Manuel of Browning Fork, Gilbert, WV; brothers: Arthur Ellis, Larry Dale Ellis, Bo Ellis, and Jack (Joann) Ellis, all of Baisden, WV.  He also leaves behind a host of nieces, and nephews that he loved like his own children, and a host of numerous friends and loved ones.

Friends may gather with the family Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 12:00 till 1:00 pm in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with Pastor Winford Bradford and Rev. Jonathan Bradford officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ellis-May Family Cemetery at Baisden, WV.

Grim will be carried to his resting place by his nephews. 

His memory will forever be remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
