Danny Lilly, Jr. Obituary

Sadly, on Thursday, June 3, 2021, Danny Ray Lilly, Jr., completed his journey here on Earth.  His life’s story began June 3, 1977 and came to an end exactly 44 years later at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born on June 3, 1977, at Man, he was the son of Donna (Esque) Scarberry and the late Danny Ray Lilly, Sr.

In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by his baby brother: Earl Lee Lilly;  also his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Danny was born and raised as a small child in Gilbert, and was a resident of Verner, at the time of his passing.  He enjoyed fishing, chicken fighting and hanging out with his family and friends.

Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his loss are his mother: Donna (James) Scarberry of Verner; his loving brother: Bryan Keith Lilly of Varney; three special friends: Randy Toler, R.J. Toler, and Tawana Browning.  Danny also leaves behind an amazing host of children, grandchildren, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Danny did not aspire to become President; he truly did not crave excessive attention or pretend to be something he was not.  He was simply a private man who loved and was loved by his family and friends.  He found his joy in the laughter of others, and near the end of his journey, he found peace in God’s Grace.

To honor his wishes, he was cremated.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 5:00 pm at the Pie Church of God, Pie, WV with Rev. Brian Wellman officiating.
