Danny Wade Wiley, 54 of Gilbert, WV departed this life Monday, March 17, 2025, from his residence. Born April 27, 1970, in Lincoln Park, Michigan he was the son of Linda Sue (Mounts) Wiley and the late Danny Randall Wiley.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Zina and Willie Wade Wiley; maternal grandparents: Iva Jewell and Leonard Mounts; aunt: Patricia Wiley; uncle: Lowell "Hoppy" (Linda) Mounts.
Danny was a native and resident of Gilbert, WV, he truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive, his generosity knew no bounds. Danny was a loving son, brother, and uncle who would help anyone. He was a graduate of Gilbert High School and was employed at Columbia Wood Flooring Plant for most of his career. Danny had an artistic talent, and it showed in all the woodwork that he done, he was meticulous at restoring old cars and woodwork.
Danny is survived by his mother: Linda Sue (Mounts) Wiley; sister: Candice (Butch) Browning; brother: Aaron (Tammy) Wiley; special aunts and uncles: Carol (Mounts) Butcher, Jerry (Marcella) Mounts, Johnny (Connie) Wiley; nephews: John Caleb Browning, Dakota Chase Wiley, Kaeden Andrew Wiley; special niece: Dani Lynn Browning; his best friend and special cousin: Ricky Blankenship; his special dog: Lottie. He also leaves behind a host of special cousins who were like sisters and brothers.
Friends may gather with the family Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 1:00 till 2:00 pm in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bill Cresong and Rev. James Muncy officiating. Burial will follow in the Mounts Family Cemetery, Gilbert Creek Road.
Danny will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.
Everyone is destined to have two dates on a tombstone, but the dash in between those dates represents the time we spent alive and that is what truly matters. Although Danny is gone, he will always live in our hearts forever.
