Darrell Ray Hendricks

Darrell Ray Hendricks, 70 of Earling, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Born on November 22, 1952, he was the son of the late Orville and Faye (Cyrus) Hendricks.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers: Roger Nathan Hendricks, James Ralph Hendricks, Ritchie Hendricks, and Mike Toler; sisters: Brenda Lester, Patricia Rabie, and Evelyn Browning.

Darrell was a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved going fishing, taking camping trips, and he enjoyed doing carpentry work. His favorite past-time, however, was playing with his grandkids. He loved them unconditionally and enjoyed spending time with them.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons: Jason Hendricks and Derrick (Jessica) Hendricks all of Verner, WV; daughter: Linda (Brandon) Mounts of Browning Fork, WV; his girlfriend: Brenda Roberts of Cyclone, WV; stepchildren: Chris Roberts (Desiree Walls), Bobby Roberts Jr., and Erika Roberts (Glenn) Maynor all of Cyclone, WV; granddaughters: Jalyn Hendricks of Princeton, WV, Bella and Aria Mounts of Browning Fork, WV; grandson: Thomas Maynor III of Cyclone, WV; brothers: Randy (Pam) Hendricks of Verner, WV and Robert Bobby Hendricks of Chattaroy, WV; and one sister: Lynn (Joe) Gravley.

Friends may gather with the family on Monday, January 23, 2023 at the Riverview Freewill Baptist Church from 11:00am-1:00pm. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Pastor Mike Browning officiating. Burial will follow at the Claypool Cemetery in Davin, WV.

Darrell will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.

He will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
