David Lee Endicott, 71 of the Browning Fork section of Gilbert, WV went peacefully to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on November 24, 1950 at Gilbert, he was the son of the late Auxier and Gay (Browning) Endicott.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers: Ricky, Shelby, and Johnny Endicott; nephews: Jeremy Brown and David Arthur Endicott; nieces: Tonya and Jamie Endicott; great niece: Paige Endicott; sister-in-law: Deborah (Muncy) Endicott; brother-in-law: Todd Mounts; father and mother-in-law: Jimmie and Betty Elkins.
David enjoyed being outdoors, sitting on his porch, drinking his coffee, and watching his grandchildren play. He loved watching westerns and spending time with his family and friends, when he was able, he loved going to church and singing for the Lord. David was a retired Coal Miner of 32 years. He was operator and owner of numerous coal mines, a Veteran of the U.S. Army, and had worked as an asphalt sealer and steam cleaner. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Those left to love and cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years: Debbie (Elkins) Endicott; son: David James “D.J” (Debbie) Endicott; daughter: Alicia (Jimmy) New; grandchildren: Brianna (Josh) Blankenship, Dakota (Patricia) Endicott; great grandchildren: Brennan Blankenship, Andrew and Luka Endicott, all of Browning Fork; brothers: Michael (Irene) Endicott of North Springs, Roger Endicott and Billy (Jackie) Endicott, all of Browning Fork, Clyde (Rebecca) Endicott of Hampden, Bobby (Cindy) Endicott of Baisden; sisters: Margaret Brown of Browning Fork, Sonja Mounts of Hampden, Jennifer (Dale) Collins of Baisden; brother-in-law: Steve (Evelene) Elkins of Lynco; sister-in-law: Rose Endicott of Browning Fork; special friend: Lowell “Hoppy” Mounts. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Friday, November 4, 2022 from 6:00 till 9:00 pm at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, with special services starting at 7:00 pm with Rev. Clyde Endicott officiating. Funeral services will commence there in the chapel on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Roger Endicott officiating. Burial will follow in the Hollywood Cemetery in Gilbert, WV.
David will be carried to his resting place by pallbearers: Dakota, Jonathan, Josh, Chris, Mick, Eric, and Justin Endicott, Josh and Brennan Blankenship, Brett, and Denise Browning. Honorary pallbearers are: Rick and Mark Endicott, Jimmy New.
He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
