Debra Elizabeth (Lockhart) Thomason

Debra Elizabeth Thomason, 68 of Isaban, WV departed this life Thursday, June 23, 2022 from Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, TN.

Born on September 18, 1953 in McDowell County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lindburgh and Tonnie Loraine (Lester) Lockhart.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother: William Michael Lockhart; four sisters-in-law: Deborah Lockhart, Pat Lockhart, Francis Burgess, and Keitha Lester; and three brothers-in-law: Raymond Salyers, Gary Brown, and Jimmy Boyd.

Debra was a loving Mother, Nanny, aunt, and friend.  She enjoyed spending time at South Holston Lake and just being outside.  She loved time with family and friends, but the light of her life was her three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  They were her life.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her loving husband of 50 years: George Thomason of Isaban; two sons: Georgie-Buck Thomason of Abington, VA and Michael (Fonda) Thomason of Baisden; three grandchildren: Kendra (Josh) Cline and Scarlett Thomason, all of Isaban, and Ethan Thomason of Justice; two great grandchildren: Layla and Parker Cline of the home; her brother: Jimmy (Lisha) Lockhart; three sisters: Sharon Salyers, Vickie (Glen) Fuller, Tonya (Travis Lester) Lockhart; three sisters-in-law: Virgie Boyd, Kitty Brown, and Amy Jo (Travis) Hunt.  She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 and Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Little Dove Old Regular Baptist Church, Guesses Fork, VA, beginning at 6:00 PM with services beginning both nights at 7:00 PM.  Funeral services will commence at the church on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Elder David Lester and all Elders of the church officiating.  Burial will follow in the Noah Justice Cemetery at Mud Fork, Bull Creek, WV.

Debra will be carried to her resting place by pallbearers: Michael, Georgie-Buck, and Ethan Thomason, Josh Cline, Scott Lockhart, and Kevin Salyers.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
