Dedra Laverne (Gravely) Hatfield

Dedra Laverne Hatfield, 61 of Baisden, WV., departed this life on Monday, April 25, 2022 from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born November 25, 1960 at Welch, WV., she was the daughter of the late Aracoma (Cline) Justice and Benny Gravely.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter: Scarlett Buchanan; brother: Brian Gravely; stepfather: Sid Justice; and mother-in-law and father-in-law: Eileen and Lewis Cook.

Dedra was of the Baptist Faith. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends.  She enjoyed doing crafts, spending time at the lake, shopping, gardening, and canning.  She loved the sun and the beach, picnics, cookouts, and she looked forward to family reunions.  She was a very humble person who had a big heart.  She loved people and loved life.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her daughter: Stacie (Steve) Blackburn of Beech Creek, WV; son Weston (Maddy) Christian of Milton, WV.; brother: Jeff (Cathy) Gravely of Florida; grandchildren: Maggie Queen, Mindi Sparks, Ashton Huff, Sawyer, Dennis, Tandy, James, and Zeth Blackburn; special friends: Toney Blankenship, Audrey Smith, Bev Cline, Tootsie Shrader, and Sharon Lester. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

There will be a Memorial Service for Dedra on Friday, April 29, 2022 at the Four Winds Tabernacle in Sprattsville, WV. at 6 PM with Bishop Anthony Hudgins and Pastor Rick Endicott officiating.

 She may be gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
