Delores (New) Mahon

Delores Mahon, 77, of Wharncliffe, WV went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from Tug Valley ARH, South Williamson, KY.  

Born May 8, 1948, at Baisden, WV, Delores was the daughter of the late Hershel and Nada (Kirk) New. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Danny Lee Mahon Sr.; two sons: Rickey Johnson and Rodney Johnson; brothers: Dewey New, Gene New.  

Delores enjoyed playing cards, watching westerns on tv, fishing when she could, and spending time with her friends and grandkids. She was a member of the Church of Christ Faith.  

Those left to love and cherish her memory include her daughters: Michelle LeeAnn (Bill) Lockard, Annette (Chuckie) Morgan, and Betty Browning; sons: Bernard (Cynthia) Johnson, John Paul (Julianna) Belcher, Danny (Annie) Mahon; grandchildren: Dakota Belcher, David, Daniel, Kimberly, Audrey, BJ, Emily, Caleb and Brian, Tasha Morgan Cline, Kenny Morgan, Renee and Bradley  Browning; daughter in law: Autumn Belcher.  She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends who she loved dearly.  

Friends may gather with the family on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 12:00 till 1:00 p.m. at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel for visitation with funeral services to commence at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Danny Ward officiating. Burial will follow at the Mahon and Hatfield Cemetery, Beech Creek, WV. 

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
