Dennie Lee Hatfield

Dennie Lee Hatfield, 83 of Hanover, WV departed this life Monday. June 16, 2025, from Bower’s Hospice House, Beckley, WV.

Born May 4, 1942, in Kistler, WV he was the son of the late Joda Hatfield and Ida (Wallace) Hatfield Berry.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his sister: Laura Helmandollar; stepfather: Lyndon Berry.

Dennie was a retired coal miner, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He was of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his daughter: Yvonne (Scotty) King of Hanover, WV; sons: Jimmie (Loretta) Hatfield, Jerry (Patty) Hatfield, and Jody (Sonya) Hatfield all of Tennessee; grandchildren: Brandon (Michelle) King, Leann (Cody) McCart, Tiffanie (Joshua) Street, Lindsee Hatfield, Jody Alex Hatfield, and Matthew Craig Hatfield; great grandchildren: Tanner and Carleigh King, Elias and Madilynn McCart, Kinley and Blaze Street, and Greyson Hatfield; step great grandchildren: Garrett and Lydia Lambert; sister: Carolyn Wells of KY; brother: Tennis (Elizabeth) Hatfield of WV.  He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and other dear friends.

Friends may gather with the family Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 12:00 till 2:00 pm in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Sammy Lester officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hatfield Cemetery at Hanover, WV.

Dennie will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
