Donald Ross Dingess

Donald Ross Dingess, 46, of Wharncliffe, WV, left this earth on October 5, 2021 from his residence.

Born on November 12, 1974 in Man, he was the son of Darrell and Patsy (Ball) Dingess. “Daffy” was raised in a Christ-loving household filled with many memories of laughter and adventure.

In addition to his father, Darrell, he was preceded in death by one brother: Kevin Dingess; and one sister: Anita Gay Dingess. Donald was a coal miner, mechanic, dozer operator, and active helper of the community, always assisting anyone when needed.

Donald was a lover of hunting, fishing, ATV riding, and most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his children and family. Being a father changed his life completely and he loved every minute. Donald had an infectious personality that is reflected in them today. He was a cherished friend, brother, neighbor, father, uncle and son.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Donald are: his beautiful children, Tyra, Ellen, and Scotty Dingess of Gilbert; his sister, Katelyn Dingess of Wharncliffe; his brother, Derek Dingess of Wharncliffe; his loving mother, Patsy Dingess of Wharncliffe, and his girlfriend Stephanie Cline.

Friends may gather with the family on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will commence on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 1:00pm with Pastor Diamond Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Hatfield & Dingess Cemetery at Wharncliffe.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Scotty Dingess, Devin Dingess, Weslee Dingess, Shawn Ball, JR Ball, Robert Ball, Lonnie Ball, Wesley Ball, Brandon Maynard, and Bill Lockard. Honorary pallbearer will be: Derek Dingess,
