Donald "Donny" Boren Obituary

Donald Roy Boren, 64, departed this life Tuesday, March 31, 2020 from his hometown of Gilbert, WV.

Born April 29, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah, he was the son of Alma Jean Vincen and the late Robert C. Boren.

In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by his stepfather: John Vincen.

After Donny graduated from Gilbert High School in 1973, he then served in the U.S. Air Force, upon returning to Gilbert, Donny started out working with his dad at Rock Drillers Service, he became very knowledgeable of the business, and later became the president of the corporation, which was very successful over the years.  Donny loved being outdoors, fishing and hunting with his family and friends, he was also the life of the party, joking and kidding around.  Donny truly loved being a father and grandfather, he enjoyed spending time together with his family.

Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his loss are his mother: Alma Jean Vincen of Gilbert; daughter: Shannon Renee Boren of Lenore; son: Christopher Justin Boren of Gilbert; grandson: Aiden Blake Boren of Lenore; sister: Phyllis Boren Atkins, her husband, Joseph E. Atkins, DDS of Charleston; nephew: Terry Lee Vance II of Lenore; great-nephew: Terry Lee Vance III of Williamson; niece: Amy Lynn Vance; nephew: Johnavon Andrew Vance both of Lenore; half brothers: John and Robbie Boren of Florida.  He also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

To honor his wishes, his remains were cremated.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

His wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
