Doris Ann (Carter) Hunt

Doris Ann Hunt, 64 of Mohawk, WV, passed away at her home on Friday, June 20, 2025.  Born October 6, 1960, at Iaeger, WV she was the daughter of the late Ezra and Sally (Robinette) Carter.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother: Michael Carter; stepson: Robbie Hunt; great niece: Josie Rebel Scites.

Doris was loved by many.  She enjoyed her time working at Superstop in Iaeger, WV and she missed it and all the people she encountered while there.

She is survived by her husband: Hassel Hunt of the home; daughter: Elizabeth (Timothy) Felts of Hartsville, SC; stepdaughter: Carolyn (Tony) Dotson of Elkcreek, VA; stepson: Richie Hunt of Beckley, WV; step-grandson: Brandon (Tesha) Dotson of Sevierville, TN; sister: Wilma (Jerry) Layne of Charleston, WV; brother: J.R. (Tami) Carter of Claremont, NC; special niece: Jennifer (Andy) Scites of Charleston, WV; special nephews: Joshua Carter of Winston Salem, NC and Joshua (Katelyn) Arbogast of Claremont, NC; also Emilee Mitchell, whom she thought of as a daughter; close family friends: Michelle Mills and her daughters Wendy, Jade and Madison.  She also leaves behind a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends.

Per her request there will be no services, and she will be cremated, a small family and close friend gathering may be planned at a later date.

Doris is now at peace and no longer suffering.  She will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.  She will be greatly missed by everyone.
