Edmond Ward Obituary

Edmond Lamuel Ward, 81 of Christian. WV, went home to be with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ, from Boone Memorial Health Center the morning of November 22nd. 2022.

He was born September 12th.1941 in Landville WV to the late Willie and Mahala {Burchett) Ward. He was proceeded in death by two brothers, Grover and John, and two sisters, Mary Ward Ellis, and Minnie Collins, a daughter Arlene Ward Robbins, and a grandson Christopher Robbins.

He was also preceded in death by the love of his life, Connie Faye (Mullins) Ward, in which he spent 59 years of marriage and 63 years of total love and devotion to.

Lamuel was a faithful member of the Christian Freewill Baptist church for over 47 years.  He never met a stranger, if you weren’t friends with him when he entered a room, you would be when he left.

He is survived by three sons Eddie (Robin) Ward of Elk Creek, Tommy (Charlotte) Ward of Accoville, and Jackie (Michelle) Ward of Christiansburg Virginia, and one daughter, Brenda (Doug) Lezu of Franklin WV, 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one sister, Liddie (Russell) McCoy of Jonesville Virginia, sister in law, Mary (Bill) Hall of Ballard WV, brother in law Bob (Suzanne) Mullins of Salisbury NC,  with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends and family, too many to list. Also, a special shout out to all the residents of Christian, Malinda, Peewee, Paul, Mike, and others that always there to help with all his needs.

Services will be held Monday November 28th at Greenbranch Freewill Baptist Church at 11:00 AM, with Rev. James Ellis, and Rev. Randy Toler officiating. Visitation for friends will be from 10 to 11 AM. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Lamuel will be carried to his resting place by his grandsons.

Funeral services for the Ward family have been entrusted to the Mounts Funeral Home in Gilbert WV.
