Edna Lenore (Hatfield) Miller

Edna Lenore (Hatfield) Miller, 82 of Christian, WV departed this life Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from her residence.

Born April 17, 1939 at Coal Mountain, WV she was the daughter of the late Lewis (Nip) and Kermit (Poe) Hatfield.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Charles Tom Miller, Sr.

Edna loved to read and study her Bible.  She was an Ordained Minister and attended the Eagle Sanctuary Church at Christian.  She enjoyed shopping, especially looking around at all the different stores.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her children: Charles Tommy (Carol Looney) Miller of Christian, Bobby Joe Miller of Kansas City, MO, Michael (Elaine) Miller of Christian, Kim (Donald) Gillispie of Bills Branch, WV; grandsons: Eddie Gillispie, Donald (Nancy) Gillispie, Derrick (Eura) Miller; granddaughters: Emily (Roy) Brown, Malorie (Justin) Merritt, Edna’s (Mama’s) little Princess: Isabella Looney and special granddaughter Jade Looney; great-grandchildren: Levi Tucker Brown, Emma Grace Miller, Jon Grimmett, Noah Gillispie, Jaylend Gillispie; nieces: Sonja (Terry) Fulks, Lisa Price, Teresa Blankenship; nephews: Jimmy Hatfield, Jr, Kevin Sorrell, and Jeffrey Blankenship; brother: Jimmy (Charlotte) Hatfield; sisters: Faye Hatfield Blankenship and Virginia Sorrell.  Edna also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 6:00 till 9:00 pm at the Eagle Sanctuary Church at Christian, WV, where funeral services will commence on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 12:00 pm with Bishop Anthony Hudgins, Rev. Carl “Cab” Wolford and Rev. Dewey Lusk officiating.  Burial will follow in the Miller Family Cemetery at Christian.

Edna will be carried to her resting place by pallbearers: Tommy, Michael, Bobby Joe and Derrick Miller, Eddie Ray, and Donald Gillispie, Jr.  Honorary pallbearers are Betty Robinette, Shirley McClure, Pam Fitch, Marsha Hatfield, Sheila Lusk, and Carol Looney-Miller.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
