Edward Watts, 77 of Justice, departed this life Monday, January 4, 2021 from his residence.
Born January 27, 1943 at Gilbert, he was the son of the late Henry Watts and Bessie Bailey.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sisters: Bonnie Morgan and Rena Beard; brother: Cecil Hatfield.
Ed was a member of the U.M.W.A., he was a Boy Scout and Cub Master for many years. He had pastored the First Baptist Church at Iaeger, WV for 14 years, he was a Sunday School teacher for 50 years. He was a member of the U.S. Airforce Titan II Missile Crew. In his spare time, he loved working in his flower garden.
Those left to love and cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years: Judith Lynn (Perry) Watts; daughter: Teresa (Dave) Toler all of Justice, WV; son: Edward (Rhonda) Watts Jr. of Gas City, IN; grandchildren: Garrett (Sarah) Mostowski of Detroit, MI., Savannah Watts of IN., Kassie (Kyle) Keuterman of Marion, IN., Brian K Cline, Jr., of Hardy, KY, Emily Cline of Barboursville, WV; great grandchildren: Kate and Naima Mostowski, Annabelle and Fred Cline, Grant and Claire Etta Keuterman; brothers: Mark (Carol) Watts of Anderson, SC., Virgil (Marge) Hackney of KY. He also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Friday, January 8, 2021 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will commence there at the chapel on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Michael Browning officiating. Burial will follow at the Davis Cemetery at Justice, WV. Military Honors will be provided by Iaeger VFW, Chapter # 1144.
Ed will be carried to his resting place by pallbearers: Jerry Perry, Wayne Ellis, Kim Ellis, Dave Toler, Wayne Ellis II, Cameron Ellis, Chris Brown, Brian Cline, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Sidney Perry, Gene Riffe, Wayne Addair, Mason Perry, Garrett Mostowski.
He may be gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
