Ernestine (Mounts) Vinson, 88 of Baisden, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born on December 31, 1934 at Baisden, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Eva (Cline) Mounts.
In addition to her parents, Ernestine is also preceded in death by her ex-husband: William M. Vinson; son: William Isaac Vinson: sisters: Sylvia Vance, Zella Albury and Jala Whitson; half-sister: Nettie Blankenship; brothers: Arvid and Wiley Mounts.
Ernestine enjoyed watching TV programs, shopping, and visiting with her friends at the Senior Citizens Center. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church of God at Baisden, WV.
Those left to love and cherish her memory are her daughter: Eva Gail (Jackie) Blankenship of Baisden; son: Randy Vinson and companion Jo Ann Cales of Wayside, WV; grandchildren: Kevin and Wesley Blankenship, Mary Ann Glanden, Tiffany Carter, Verlin, Brandon and Morgan Vinson, Justin and Larry Thomas, Jr; great grandchildren: Allie and Jacob Blankenship, Maci and Parker Thomas, Finn and Regan Carter, Noah Jordan, Andrew and Brenlee Vinson; four special friends: Nadean Davis, Helen Blankenship, Randy “Speedy” Cline, and Nina Faye Cline; special nurses Tiffany and Addie at Logan Regional Hospital. She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Friday, March 24, 2023 from 12:00 till 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jonas Trent, Rev. Diamond Carter, and Rev. Lowell Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Isaac Mounts Cemetery at Baisden, WV.
Ernestine will be carried to her resting place by pallbearers: Ricky Carter, Kevin, Kenneth, and Mark Blankenship, Cletis Cline, Tim Collins, and Corbin Lester.
A special “thank you” to Jackie and Eva Gail Blankenship for the love and care that was given to Ernestine during her illness.
She may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
