Eugene "Wise" Hunt

Eugene “Wise” Hunt, 63 of Panther, departed this life Friday, June 13, 2020 from Pikeville Medical Center.

Born November 13, 1957 at Welch, he was the son of John (J.B) and Delphia (Dotson) Hunt.

Eugene is also preceded in death by his grandparents.  He was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his siblings: Melvin (Mildred) Hunt, Jackie (Melissa) Hunt, Sue Oma Hunt (Deon Cline), Reda (Kenneth) Justice, Joyce (Robert) Rutledge, Jessie Lee Hunt; aunt and uncle: Pauline (L.C.) Hunt; friends: Tabby Hurley, Harley Riley, Randy Hurley; 5 nieces; 7 nephews.  He also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Tuesday, June 16, 2020 after 6 pm at the Mohawk Freewill Baptist Church, where funeral services will commence on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Willie Coleman, Rev. Ervin Dotson, and Rev. Hassell Riffe officiating.  Burial will follow in the Allen Cemetery at Mohawk, WV.

Eugene will be carried to his resting place by family and friends.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
