Evelyn (Hendricks) Browning

Evelyn Browning 76, of the Riverview section of Gilbert, returned to her heavenly home Monday, October 26, 2020 from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born May 20, 1944 in Logan, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Fay (Cyrus) Hendricks.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Gora Browning; son: Mark Allen Browning; sister: Patricia Rabie; brothers: Ralph, Nathan, and Ritchie Hendricks.

Evelyn loved serving the Lord and worshipping with her church family and she also loved spending time with her family and friends.  She was a member of the Riverview Freewill Baptist Church at Slabtown.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her daughters: Drema (Robert) Curry of Gilbert and her daughter/sister: Candice (Joe) Gravely of Verner; sons: Gary (Charmin Anderson) Browning of Wharncliffe, James (Brandi) Browning of Man, Matthew Browning of Atlanta, GA, Marcus (Karen Edith Loveryn) Browning of Landville; grandsons: Victor Browning of New Mexico, Cody, Alexander and Zachary Browning, all of Man; granddaughters: Zoey and Makayla Browning, both of Man; two grandchildren: Shannon and Tanner Curry both of Gilbert and two grandchildren in New Mexico, ; sister: Brenda Sue Lester of Man; brothers: Bobby Hendricks of Williamson, Randy Hendricks of Verner and Darrell Hendricks of Taplin.  She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Friday, October 30, 2020 from 1:00 till 2:00 pm at the Riverview Freewill Baptist Church, where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Michael Browning and Rev. Cecil Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Leatherwood Memorial Cemetery at Justice, WV.

Evelyn will be carried to her resting place by her grandsons, nephews, and other special friends.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
